Logitech was consistently a favorite client of mine. In every video I collaborated with them on there was a high ceiling of creativity, and a passion for making interesting art.
During 2020 Logi filled a need in the work lives of people all over the world, which presented an interesting challenge: How do we write lighthearted and relevant ads that don’t shy away from the realities we’re facing, but still feel original and unique. I’m pretty proud of what we came up with!
Check out a few of the videos I had the priveledge to write and direct.
While our most frequent brief was "super cool, super sleek, super real" we did still get the opportunity to take unique artistic risks when presented with challenges. For our Zoom Phone video we had the need for characters, but immediately knew that would enter the uncanny valley at warp speed if we weren't careful.
So we took a cue from our 2D explainers for Logi and brought the playful 2D characters into a vibrant space built on realism.
TLDR: Logi loved this one too, and so did we!
In the 2D explainer space we did our best to honor the existing style while pushing the tone and visuals to a punchy and energetic place that embraced the comedically strange nuances of the remote working world.
We would later learn that these visual moments have become the conversation pieces and pinnacle of Logitech's presentation based conversations.
